Haku Vodka

Haku Vodka, a premium craft from 100% Japanese white rice, is a unique and intriguing addition to the world of spirits brilliant Japanese vodka. The white rice is fermented with rice koji to create a mash, then distilled through still pots to create a rice spirit. This process occurs in Kagoshima, Kyushu, a historically famous rice spirit making region. It's then distilled again through two different methods to create volume and flavor before blanching and filtrating in the Suntory Liqueur Atelier at the Osaka Plant. A unique process unique to Suntory is that it delicately preserves and enhances the rice for sweet and subtle flavors, which are then carefully filtrated through bamboo charcoal for a round, soft, subtly sweet taste. The precise procedure of milling and polishing rice contributes to its gentle and delicately sweet flavor, containing 40% alcohol by volume (ABV).
