Recipe of Harry Potter's Butterbeer

Harry Potter’s Butterbeer - as much as the name is interesting, the drink is far more interesting too. Once the drink is ready, it comes up in a light brown colour and looks delicious. You might have seen the dalgona coffee which is trending in this corona crisis, it looks similar to Harry Potter’s Butterbeer.

You might be wondering why that name is related to Harry Potter right? Well, it is because you can make this drink on special occasions in which the theme is of Harry Potter, however if you love this drink a lot, you can make it on normal days too.

So, to make Harry Potter’s Butterbeer, all you need to do is, collect necessary ingredients, put them into your mug and it will be done. With just a dollop of cream, a bit of brown sugar and butter syrups at the top, you can always impress your guests with this light and chilled drink.

  • Dark brown sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 6 tablespoons
  • Salt - ½ teaspoons
  • Heavy cream - ¾ cup
  • Rum extract - ½ teaspoons
  • Cream soda bottle - 4 oz
  • Put a saucepan over the gas and turn on the flame. Keep it on a medium heat. Put the brown sugar, water and mix it well. Take a candy thermometer and keep mixing the brown sugar and water until it touches the 240 degrees on the candy thermometer.
  • Take the salt, vinegar and butter and stir it properly. Once done, keep it aside and let it cool.
  • Once the above mixture has cooled, take the rum extract and stir with it. After this, take a medium bowl combine 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and take the heavy cream (½ cup) and mix it till it gets thick. You can also use an electric mixer to do so.

Once the above steps are done, take a glass of your choice, add ¼ cup of soda cream in it and stir well to combine. Serve it chilled and steel the heart of your guests!
